Sam Haines is the Director of Product Delivery at SEQTEK, where he leads client engagements and the teams that deliver them. He started his tech career as a Quality Assurance Analyst, then moved into business analysis before settling into a product owner role in 2019. Having seen software from the testing side, the requirements side, and the product side, he knows where projects tend to go wrong and how to keep them on track, ensuring every detail of product delivery is thought through and executed.

At SEQTEK, Sam works closely with clients and development teams to make sure each project delivers what the business needs. He writes and prioritizes the product backlog, leads whiteboard design sessions with key stakeholders, and runs the scrum events that keep teams moving, from sprint planning to reviews and retrospectives. He also spends time directly with users through interviews and training sessions, because continuous feedback is how a team confirms it is building the right features and that people understand the workflows they are given.

Sam has led product efforts across a wide range of industries, from oil and gas to banking to manufacturing and more. The domains differ, but the approach stays the same: understand how the client’s business actually works, clearly define the problem the client needs solved, prioritize the work that brings users the most value, and keep everyone aligned until the software is delivered. What Sam finds most rewarding is the moment a team’s work lands with real users and makes their day easier. That satisfaction comes from the collaboration it takes to get there, bringing clients, designers, and engineers together around a shared picture of what success looks like.
