Our Story

Good work, done by good people

Our culture comes down to a few simple commitments: do excellent work, do it with integrity, and never ask anyone to choose between their job and their family.

A foundation of faith

SEQTEK was built on faith. When the dot-com bust nearly ended the company, our founder, Hank Haines, gave the business to God and committed to steward it well. That decision still shapes how we work every day: grace and trust, high expectations in a supportive environment, and doing the right thing even when it costs something.

Skillful in our work

“Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.”

Proverbs 22:29

It’s one of Hank’s favorite verses, and it describes the standard we hold ourselves to. We take pride in doing the work well, not just getting it done.

That means working hard and working with integrity: giving honest answers, even when they aren’t what someone wants to hear, building things carefully, and following through on what we say we’ll do. Our clients trust us with the systems their businesses depend on, and we earn that trust one delivery at a time.

Say what we do. Do what we say. Support what we have done.

Principles we live by

A few principles shape how we show up for clients and for each other every day.

  • Be a friend, not a vendor

  • Success is based on customer outcomes

  • Communication is leadership

  • There’s no right way to do the wrong thing

  • Character is what you do when no one is looking

  • Excellence is a habit

  • Spectacular results are preceded by spectacular preparation

  • Decision-making is expected

No ego, no bureaucracy

Every team member can reach our partners, Hank Haines, Brent Fields, and Dana Dudley, at any time, and every project has a clear owner responsible for the outcome. We hire skilled people and trust them to do their best work, without needless approvals slowing them down.

We also own our mistakes. When something goes wrong, we talk about it openly, figure out why, and fix it. For our clients, that means straight answers and problems raised early, while they’re still small.

Family comes first

We believe great work comes from people with full lives outside of it. So we build our week around the things that matter most.

  • Time for family

We prioritize time off for family events, so no one has to miss what matters.

  • Flexibility when life happens

Schedules shift, kids get sick, plans change, and we work with that, not against it.

  • Built for the long haul

We keep a healthy 40-hour week. Overtime happens when a project needs it, but it isn’t the norm, because we want our people here for years, not burned out in months.

When our people are rested and supported at home, they bring their best to our clients. And because they stay, the people who start your project are there to finish it.

Growing and celebrating together

We grow by learning more, not just climbing a ladder. We pay for professional certifications, host lunch and learns where the team shares what they know, and encourage everyone to take on new challenges.

And we make time to celebrate: our Christmas party, Oktoberfest, workiversaries, and tickets to the Tulsa State Fair for every employee’s whole family.

What we value

Seven values guide how we treat our clients, our partners, and each other: trust, value, excellence, diligence, humility, improvement, and respect.
