How We Work

The reach of a big firm, the accountability of a neighbor

Localshoring® is how SEQTEK staffs your work: senior people who share your time zone, show up on site, and stay accountable for what they ship. The scale of a larger firm without the distance.

Localshoring is SEQTEK's consulting model, built on a single principle: the work moves faster when trust is built first. We build trusting relationships with our clients, and those relationships speed up delivery and make our clients more profitable.

Offshore promised cost savings and delivered coordination tax: time-zone gaps that turn one question into a lost day, churn that resets context every few months, and work that technically matches the ticket but misses the point. Nearshore narrows the clock gap but keeps the distance. Localshoring is the third option, and it is the one we have run for 25 years.

We work where our clients are: Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Northwest Arkansas, and Kansas City. The people on your project can sit in your office, learn your business the way an employee would, and answer when you call. They are senior, they stay, and they own the outcome rather than the task.

It is the same idea our namesake is built on. Sequoyah did not make his people change to fit a system built elsewhere. He built the system to fit them. Localshoring is that principle applied to how a team works alongside yours.

How it works

One owner. Every engagement has a single delivery owner: one person you can call, and the one person the developers answer to. Not an account manager, the person responsible for delivery.

Proof every two to three weeks. We demonstrate working software on a steady rhythm instead of reporting status. Delivery is proof, and proof builds trust.

Honest quotes. We price to the true effort instead of underquoting to win the work. An undelivered product is the most expensive kind: you pay for it and never get the opportunity it was supposed to open.

Your hours, your language. The team works in your time zone, on your schedule, in your language.

Why it works

Most software projects fail because of people and communication, not technology. Localshoring is designed so that by the time we write a line of code, we already understand your business, your team, and the outcome you are after. That understanding lets us skip the relitigation, the second-guessing, and the bureaucracy that slow everyone else down. We call the mechanism Trust Driven Development.

The business case

Hiring senior engineers is slow and expensive, and a vacancy stalls the roadmap for as long as it stays open. Offshore trades that cost for coordination drag: a question asked at 4pm gets answered tomorrow, and review cycles stretch across the calendar.

Localshoring sits between the two. You get a team that works your hours, writes to your standards, and is accountable to your outcomes, without carrying the fixed cost or hiring risk of building that bench yourself. When priorities shift, the team flexes with them.

A stalled project, delivered in three months

A company once passed on our bid as too expensive and hired another vendor to build a mobile app. Nine months later they still had not seen it run.

When they called us, we took the existing source code and put it in a single repository they could see in full. We loaded builds onto their own phones so everyone could see the bugs, and put one point of contact in charge of the backlog. We delivered the finished app in three months. The speed came from trust, not from working harder.

“We came to this collectively and not just giving something out of the box to try to work in our processes. We did not have to change our processes. They are trying to find a solution that fits us.”
