Charles John
ML Developer and Architect
About
Charles John is an ML developer and architect at SEQTEK, where he builds computer vision and edge AI systems designed to run in the field rather than in a lab. His work covers the full path a model takes to production: data pipelines and automated labeling, training and evaluation, optimizing models to run on constrained hardware, and the fleet infrastructure that keeps hundreds of remote devices deployed, updated, and observable.
Alongside that, he builds agent orchestration systems that coordinate multiple AI models into a single working assistant, along with web applications, APIs, and internal tooling for clients across a range of industries. The through-line in all of it is systems that have to keep working when nobody is watching them, which is a very different engineering problem than building something that demos well.
What makes the work meaningful to him are the people he works with; he is surrounded by colleagues who care deeply about the impact they make in the world. He is based in Tulsa.
Areas of expertise
Computer vision and applied ML: model training and evaluation, automated labeling pipelines, and optimizing models for real-time inference on constrained hardware
Edge AI and distributed systems: containerized deployment, CI/CD, networking, and fleet management across hundreds of remote devices
AI agent systems and full-stack engineering: multi-model orchestration, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and web applications end to end
Education
Master of Science, University of Oklahoma
