The Software and AI Behind WellChecked
SEQTEK has built WellChecked's software since the first version. The current platform brings video, sound, and infrared data from hundreds of remote well sites into one view.

The problem
WellChecked set out to keep oilfield equipment running around the clock. SEQTEK wrote the first version of their software about twelve years ago, built so customers could view video from remote well sites.
The next version had to do much more. WellChecked needed a cloud platform that could process video, sound, and infrared data from remote well sites, monitor equipment health, and catch failures before they happened.
The solution
Working as an extension of WellChecked's team, SEQTEK built the second version on Amazon Web Services. It takes video, sound, and infrared optical gas detection data from the field and brings it together in a single interface for WellChecked's customers.
The hard engineering problem was scale. The system had to be fault tolerant while processing large data files from hundreds of field locations at the same time, without ever falling behind. RabbitMQ in the field gateway handles the traffic coming off the wells.
On top of that data, SEQTEK built AI-powered monitoring that watches every well around the clock, using sound and deep learning to flag potential equipment problems before they become failures.

The impact
WellChecked now monitors equipment health continuously, without manual intervention. The platform gives their customers real-time visibility into every well, which reduces downtime and makes maintenance proactive instead of reactive.
Because the system keeps up with hundreds of field locations at once, that visibility holds at scale.
